Absolutely Accessible West Michigan (formerly Absolutely Accessible Kent) is an expanded regional technical workshop exploring the intersection of universal design principles and the built environment. This year’s event brings together architects, urban planners, members of the building trades, municipal staff, business leaders, and community stakeholders from across West Michigan for a dynamic, solutions‑focused conversation on making our cities and physical spaces accessible for all.
These workshops support organizations and businesses seeking to better understand how to approach disability and embed accessibility into everyday practice. Participants will network, exchange ideas, and learn from accomplished speakers in both the urban planning and architecture tracks—now with a wider lens that reflects the diverse needs and opportunities across the region.
By broadening the scope beyond Kent County, Absolutely Accessible West Michigan invites a larger community to collaborate, innovate, and champion accessibility throughout our shared environment.
