Veteran's Support

What is Veteran-Directed Care?
VDC is a self-directed care program that gives eligible veterans flexibility and control over their long-term care services. Instead of relying on traditional care providers, veterans can:
- Hire their own caregivers (including family members or trusted individuals)
- Manage a personalized care budget to fit their unique needs
- Live independently at home rather than in institutional settings
- Receive essential support such as personal care, meal preparation, and mobility assistance
Who Is Eligible?
Veterans who are enrolled in VA healthcare and need assistance with daily living activities may qualify. The program is ideal for those who prefer customized, home-based support over facility care.

“Your service to the country was your choice. Your care should be, too.”

Why Choose Veteran-Directed Care?
For many veterans, this program is more than just care—it’s a lifeline to independence. Whether it’s receiving help from a trusted family member, a trained caregiver, or a longtime friend, VDC ensures that care decisions remain where they belong, with the veteran.
