Disability Advocates offers a thorough assessment of the person, home, and environment to identify barriers to independent living. An Occupational Therapist will assess the situation, set up and implement a plan to make the home environment accessible through modifications and/or equipment. Our program goal is to keep people safe and independent in their home environment. Disability Advocates serves consumers in Kent, Ionia, Montcalm, Mecosta, and Osceola counties.

If you answered yes to any of the above questions, the Disability Advocates Hearing Aid Services & Adaptive Equipment for Hearing Loss program may be able to assist you. This program serves those who are hard of hearing and/or experiencing difficulty hearing in later years. Disability Advocates is able to provide this program with funding through the Kent County Senior Millage.
Kent County Senior Millage services are designed to help older adults stay in their own homes. Persons must be at least 60 years old and a resident of Kent County. There are income requirements, and a small co-payment may be requirement
