Now, before you get too excited or doubting about my ability to run 25 kilometers, this is not at all what I’m talking about. You see, when it comes to the thought of running a 25K, I can tell you that I am tired just driving a 25K.
The 25K I’m talking about is based in the fact that my 25th anniversary at Disability Advocates is today, February 6th. It is so hard to believe that the last 25 years have rolled by so quickly. So to celebrate, the best thing you could do is to support and toast the organization that I have been blessed and honored to be part of for the last quarter century.
My goal is to raise $25,000 in the next 25 days to support the great work of Disability Advocates. Starting today, and for the next 25 days until February 31st, I will be looking for your help in sustaining this impactful organization. I am asking for your help to support the passionate coworkers that I have the privilege of working alongside each and every day. In this, you will be helping people with disabilities achieve their goals and reach their outcomes of living independently and safely at home, securing a job, moving around the community in accessible transportation, and simply enjoying the many things too many of us take for granted.
Will you help me achieve my goal of completing this 25K? I hope so.
While I can almost certainly assure you that I will not be doing a 50K 25 years from now, we will still be around, working alongside people with disabilities and continuing to work for an accessible and welcoming community for all.
