Volunteer Your Time

Volunteers play such a vital role in the work we do in the community.  Giving your time and sharing your skills make DAKC the grassroots, consumer-driven organization that it is.  From attending rallies, to talking with legislators to day-to-day office tasks volunteers provide support that makes a difference in our community.

Disability Advocates of Kent County seeks volunteers to help with such tasks as:

  • Working at special fundraising events
  • Advocacy
  • Peer support
  • Updating our mailing list
  • Entering Data
  • Assisting receptionist
  • Cleaning equipment
  • Mailings
  • Working with the Accessibility Specialist

If you are interested in advocating for people who are physically or mentally challenged consider joining our volunteer team today!  Contact Linda Larson at linda.l@dakc.us.
