VSA Arts of Michigan
Call For Art VSA is soliciting artwork entries created by adult artists with disabilities for the Legacy Trust Award Collection of ArtPrize 2010. ArtPrize is a radically open art competition, giving away the world's largest art prize. Part arts festival, part social experiment - this international art contest is decided solely on a public vote. ArtPrize runs September 22 through October 10, 2010 in downtown Grand Rapids, Michigan. This award collection has been designed to assist adult artists with disabilities to participate in a preliminary art competition with three winning artists moving forward to compete in ArtPrize 2010 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, as the Legacy Trust Award Collection. Artist registration for this Award must be received by May 3, 2010 and must have artwork delivered to VSA in Grand Rapids, MI by 11:00 am on May 13, 2010 for the voting artists’ reception. Artwork will be voted on during the Artists’ Reception on May 13, 2010. The top three artists will receive the Legacy Trust Collection Award and will be individually entered into ArtPrize 2010, which will take place in Grand Rapids, Michigan from September 22 - October 10, 2010. For More Information: All artists must submit an Artist Registration to VSA by Monday May 3, 2010 and artwork must be completed and available for showing in Grand Rapids, Michigan during the Voting Artists’ Show & Reception on Thursday May 13, 2010. By submitting an entry to the Legacy Trust Award Collection, a program of VSA arts of Michigan– Grand Rapids, you agree to be legally bound by these terms and conditions as well as the terms and conditions of the “Official Rules for Artists– ArtPrize.” If you do not agree to these terms and conditions, do not submit an entry to this award collection. Application Process All artist registration forms must be received by May 3, 2010 to be considered for the award and all completed artwork must be to the VSA offices by 11:00 am on May 13, 2010 for the Voting Artists’ Show & Reception. Please complete the appropriate forms and submit the registration to: VSA arts of Michigan—Grand Rapids Applicants will receive notification of results by May 24, 2010.
